the homegrown classroom story

We are a family of teachers and friends of family and friends of friends of family. Teaching is in our blood and day to day life. We’ve heard first hand how children and parents alike are struggling with lockdown and home schooling, and with home education. We heard stories of loneliness, of difficulty understanding academic work, of trouble forming and maintaining relationships and motivation. We heard those stories, and we decided to do something about it. We decided to create a virtual space where children can pretend to be in the classroom again. A place where they can work at their own pace and ask questions and voice their thinking. A place where they can chat with their friends, share their day, share their homework problems and solutions, and celebrate their achievements.
